BKSP maintained their undefeated run in the final round of the Western Union National Youth Football Championship with a 7-2 thrashing of Jhenaidah at the Satkhira Stadium yesterday.Towhid slammed a hattrick, Rana added a brace while Rabiul and Masud scored one goal each for the Savar sport institute who emerged group champions to book a semifinal berth. Moshiur scored both the goals for the losers. In the day's other match, Raju struck an 82nd minute goal as Rajshahi recorded a 1-0 win over Noakhali. WOMEN'S CHESS Shamima Akhter Liza won her fourth round tie against Nazrana Khan Eva to stay atop the Prime Bank 2nd Women's International Rating chess tournament table with maximum four points. IWM Rani Hamid followed the leaders with 3.5 points after beating Mahmuda Haque in the fourth round. Masud Begum and Hamida Rahman were third with three points. DIV I TT Palolic Group and Sports World won their respective matches to share the lead in the AB Bank first division table tennis super league. Palolic blanked Combined SC 3-0, Sports World beat TT Academy 3-1 while Dhaka South East TTC won in straight sets against Barna TTC. BKSP BOXING The first BKSP Cup boxing competition concluded at BKSP with the hosts winning eight gold medals. City Boxing Club of Rajshahi were second best with two gold, four silver and one bronze while Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna and Jahangir Boxing Club (Comilla) won cl9nched one gold each. Over 100 boxers (under-17) from 14 teams took part in the event.
