He went to India for better treatment in 2004 and began to recover slowly in Peerless Hospital in Kolkata. But he could not complete his treatment due to lack of money.

His father Razab Ali of Alampur village under Moheshpur upazila has already spent Tk 5 lakh for his treatment and is now unable to bear the treatment cost of Asif who needs another Tk 2.35 lakh for his treatment.
