Bull trouble at ZIA

A runaway bull wound up being on the tarmac of the Zia International Airport early yesterday. It left the area on its own but not before keeping some 22 security personnel running after it for around two hours.

The airport authorities have been asked to look into the matter. The civil aviation authorities met the intelligence officials yesterday to discuss the incident.

However, no action was taken against anyone as of last night.

The security personnel spotted the white-coloured bull at BF Northway in Baunia at 1:00am.

Shortly afterwards, 22 security personnel including police and Ansars started chasing it but to no avail. The animal got out of the runway area on its own at around 3:00am.

Contacted, the civil aviation and security officials said last night that they too have heard about it but declined to elaborate saying, "We were not on duty at that time."
