Allotment of 897 plots

The above news item, published in the front page of Prothom Alo on 20-02-2007 instilled hope in my mind. My plot measuring 5 katha (8.14 decimal) had been acquired by Rajuk in 2001. As per the terms and conditions of the acquisition, an owner of at least 5 katha or 8.14 decimal of land acquired by Rajuk would be eligible for allotment of a 3 katha plot under the Uttara Extension Project.Accordingly, I duly applied for a 3 katha plot under the Uttara Extension Project with a pay order of Taka 50,000 (fifty thousand). Towards the end of the four-party regime, a list of persons allotted plots under the said project was published, but unfortunately my name was not there. I, therefore, earnestly request the Honorable Adviser in charge of the housing sector of the present caretaker government that from the cancelled allotments of the 897 plots new allotments be made against the plots acquired by Rajuk to deprived persons like me as had been mentioned in the terms and conditions of the acquisition.
