The Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Samsul Haque sentenced delivered the judgement.

The convict is Antash Mia, 32, of village Sayedpur under Netrakona Sadar upazila.

The judge after examining witnesses and evidence found Antash guilty and pronounced the verdict.

According to prosecution, Antash Mia abducted the girl aged 16, daughter of one Mafizuddin of village Sayedpur on April 7 in 2002 and confined her for three months. During the confinement Antash raped her, the prosecution added.

After two days of abduction, the girl's father filed a case with Netrakona Police Station in this connection.
