Iftekhar meets Malaysian counterpart


Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury had a meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Bin Syed Jaafar Albar in Islamabad yesterday morning to discuss wide range of bilateral issues.

During the meeting in the Pakistani capital, they discussed issues, including the means to expand bilateral trade and economic relations.

The Malaysian Foreign Minister praised the qualities of Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia and expressed happiness over the increasing recruitment from Bangladesh.

The Malaysian minister was also happy to learn that Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed might be attending the Lankavi Dialogue in Malaysia upon invitation from Prime Minister Badawi.
