Leaders Abahani and a few other clubs appealed to delay the league due to players' crisis through injury, national duty and the ongoing HSC Examinations but their request was turned down in CCDM's yesterday's meeting with Mohammedan and Old DOHS heavily opposing the move.

The second round was supposed to begin today but it has been deferred by one day to prepare the grounds, which became unplayable due to rain.

Tomorrow, Abahani will take on Biman, Mohammedan play Sonargaon and Victoria meet bottom-table Old DOHS, the defending two-time champions who have already crashed out of the title race.
