Four killed in road accidents

At least four people were killed in separate road accidents in Comilla and Magura yesterday.UNB from Comilla adds: Three people, including a minor boy, were killed in separate road accidents at Baropara in Daudkandi upazila early yesterday. Police said a Dhaka-bound passenger bus rammed into a Daudkandi-bound microbus at about 4:30am, leaving microbus passenger Jakir Hossain dead on the spot and his nephew Hasan, 17, critically injured. Hasan succumbed to his injuries on the way to Dhaka. Later, the bodies were sent to the morgue for autopsy. In another incident in the same area an unidentified minor boy, aged around 4, was killed on the spot when a bus knocked him down at about 4:00am. On information police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy. Our Correspondent from Magura reports: A primary school teacher of Bhangura village in Magura Sadar upazila was killed in a road accident yesterday. The dead was identified as Manirruzzaman alias Monu. Police quoting locals said a passenger bus from Narail hit Monu's motorbike from behind at Poyaree village area on Magura-Narail road, leaving him dead on the spot. Monu and his younger brother Khairul Alam were going to their home by the motorbike. Locals rushed Khairul to Magura Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. Khairul's condition was stated to be critical, hospital sources said.
