Goods worth Tk 10 lakh damaged in Khagrachhari fire

At least five shops were gutted and properties worth about Tk 10 lakh were burnt to ashes at Khagrachhari Bazaar in the hill district yesterday. Fire Service sources said the fire originated from an electric sort circuit at Barua Shutkeer Store (Dry Fish Shop) at 4:30am and soon engulfed the five shops. On information, fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
