Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Shafiqul Islam granted the bail upon a bond of Tk 5,000 with two guarantors after complainant Mosharraf Hossain Ahmed appeared before the court and submitted a non-prosecution petition.

Moving the bail petition, the defence lawyers said their client's company has already paid Tk 2.35 lakh to the complainant of the case.

In the case filed with Dhanmondi Police Station on March 19, the complainant alleged that Salman's Shinepukur Holdings Limited took Tk 2.35 lakh from him on different dates on an agreement for handing over a plot of three-katha land, but the company did not hand over the plot.

On February 5, the joint forces arrested Salman at his residence as a graft suspect.
