Harmful SO2

The demand of vehicles is increasing day by day. So the demand of fossil fuels such as diesel, petrol etc is also increasing rapidly. As a result of using such fuels, different types of injurious particles are getting mixed with the air. One of this is S02, which is a colourless gas. It has harmful effects such as suffocation, bronchitis, acid rain and various other effects on plants and animals. The WHO has legislated some laws to contain the menace. If we make the best use of our natural gas, solar energy, then we can somewhat reduce such effects. Is anybody listening?
