Dhanmondi road renamed after Gaziul Haque

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) has renamed Dhanmondi Road No. 8 after language movement veteran Gaziul Haque in recognition of his contribution. Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka yesterday unveiled a plaque to mark the renaming of the road as 'Gaziul Haque Sarak'. Gaziul Haque was present at the plaque unveiling ceremony as the chief guest. Mirza Mazharul Islam, Shamsul Haque, Dr Kazi Khaleda Khatun, Ramendu Majumdar and local Ward Commissioner Abul Khair Babul were also present.
