Shrimp trader murdered in Khulna

Police recovered body of a shrimp trader from a shrimp enclosure at Kaminibashia village under Dakop upazila of Khulna district yesterday morning.The victim was identified as Chittya Ranjan Roy, 45, of the same village. Police said he was stabbed to death in the shrimp enclosure on Wednesday night. However, they have arrested Tapan Mondol, a fish trader, yesterday noon who later confessed to his involvement in the murder. A blood stained dagger and torchlight were recovered from his house. The murder was a sequel of an illicit affair between the slain shrimp trader and wife of the arrested killer, police said.
