Sher-e-Bangla House were crowned champions of the Engineering University High School at the BUET ground yesterday.

The winners grabbed 123 points while Rokeya House gained 121 points to finish second.

PETROBANGLA SPORTS
A total of sixteen companies will take part in the Central Sporting Meet, arranged by Petrobangla, on February 17.

The event, to be inaugurated by the secretary of energy and mineral resources AMM Nasiruddin, will take place at the Armed Police Battalion ground in Uttara.

CLUB CUP CRICKET
Asit Memorial won the inaugural match of the BCB Challenge Club Cup competition against Renaissance Club by 100 runs at the Circuit House ground.

Batting first, Asit reached 173-7 in 28 overs with Mahmud scoring 45 runs. Rahat and Morshed shared five wickets.

In reply, Renaissance were wrapped up for only 73 runs. Rakib, Mizan and Khorshed took two wickets each.

PREMIER KABADDI
Fire Service and Civil Defence moved to the semifinals of the Premier League at the Kabaddi court.

The firemen beat Sonali Bank 14-11 without any lonas while in the other match of the day, Azad Sporting Club crushed Jatrabari Faruq Smriti Sangsad 51-25 with three lonas.

Fire Service joined Bangladesh Rifles, Army and Police in the semifinals which takes play today.

NATIONAL JUNIOR CHESS
Minhazuddin Ahmed, Shamima Akhter, Sharif Hossain and Abdullah Al Saif are all in the lead of the Basic Bank 28th National Junior Chess competition at the Federation hallroom.

Minhaz defeated Saimon Siddiqur Rahman, Shamima beat Nipu, Sharif beat Mahin while Saif trounced Shafkat as they all lead with four points each.
