'Uphold image of BSS'

Newly-appointed Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury yesterday called upon the journalists and employees to work sincerely for upholding the image of the national news agency."We will have to perform our professional responsibilities properly to brighten the image and status of the BSS," he told a meeting of the journalists and employees of the news agency. He said the chief duty of the agency is to disseminate accurate and objective reports maintaining neutrality and prove "transparency and accountability in the greater national interest". "We should maintain our objectivity and neutrality when we file a report to earn the trust of people in general and of subscribers in particular," Zaglul said. Referring to the demands made by the speakers while welcoming him, Zaglul said he would put in his best efforts to remove the anomalies.
