Man injured in blast while making bombs in Meherpur

A hand and a leg of a man were blown away as several bombs went off when he was making them inside his house at Khoksha village in Meherpur Sadar upazila last night.The injured, Mohir, 40, was undergoing treatment at Meherpur Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. Police suspect at least five other inmates of the house were also injured in the explosion that took place at around 8:00pm, but they managed to escape arrest. Police also said at least five bombs exploded simultaneously causing a huge bang. Police and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members cordoned off the house until 9:00pm.
