Don't take any step beyond constitution
Bhuiyan urges CA

BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan yesterday urged the chief adviser (CA) to the caretaker government not to take any step which would violate the constitution.

Bhuiyan in a sudden late night visit to CA Iajuddin Ahmed also expressed his dissatisfaction over the 'unnecessary transfers' of government officials.

Mannan Bhuiyan yesterday at 10:15pm called on the CA, who is also the president of the country, at Bangabhaban where he reiterated his party position of 'upholding the constitution'.

"I have told the chief adviser that the caretaker government should not go beyond the constitution," Bhuiyan told journalists outside Bangabhaban after the meeting.

The BNP secretary general also urged the chief adviser not to transfer government officials unnecessarily.

Bhuiyan requested the CA to take tough actions for restoring law and order.

He however declined to answer any question of the newsmen.
