Boucher meets with CA today

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka this morning on a two-day official visit.He will call on President and Chief Adviser to the Caretaker Government Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban at 11:00am today. The US official will meet BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at Hawa Bhaban at 4:00pm, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at Sudha Sadan at 2:30pm and Foreign Secretary Hemayetuddin at 12:00 noon. He will attend a luncheon with the professionals. Boucher will also address a press conference at the American club at 5:00pm today. He leaves for Kolkata tomorrow evening. Boucher's meetings with government and political leaders will focus on coming general elections as well as Dhaka-Washington bilateral issues.
