Former ERD secretary Ismail Zabiullah, who was transferred as secretary to the president on October 31, was transferred to the Ministry of Communications yesterday.

Secretary of the Ministry of Communications Aminul Islam Bhuiyan was transferred to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Sirajul Islam has been made secretary to the president.

FORCED RETIREMENT

The government yesterday issued a forced retirement order to Mahmudur Rahman, Director (Project and Planning) and a former acting managing director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Jahangir Alam, general manager (Storage and Purchase) of the organisation.

The civil aviation ministry issued the order as per the Public Servant Act-1974.

There were various allegations against the two high officials that included corruption in taking lease of aircraft for Biman, operation in Hajj flight, recruitment, transfer and purchase, Biman sources said.
