Haji Selim's car vandalised

A group of BNP activists allegedly vandalised the private car of Awami League leader Haji Selim in the old part of the city yesterday.Haji Selim, a former lawmaker and joint secretary of Dhaka city AL, said he was at a meeting with his party activists in a house at Amligola Park when some BNP activists vandalised his car parked outside the house at around 4:30pm. He alleged that the group damaged his Toyota car worth Tk 87 lakh and broke the windows by pelting stones. "This is the third time that the BNP activists have damaged my car," he added. The Awami League activists brought out processions in the area protesting the incident.
