6 shops gutted in Comilla

Six shops were gutted in a fire at Puskurinirpar market under Comilla Sadar upazila Monday morning.The fire originated from electric short circuit in the shop of one Manu Mia and damaged goods and property worth Tk 3.5 lakh, traders said. The shop owners tried to remove their goods but failed as the fire spread quickly. Informed by local people, the Fire Brigade from Comilla rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with help of the local people fighting for about one hour.
