The hosts and Spain had both won their opening two matches against Argentina and India at the weekend to set up the Easter Monday decider.

India survived a second-half comeback from Argentina to clinch third place with a 3-2 victory, although they looked far more comfortable when leading 3-0 at half time.

The three-day tournament was a test event for the 2006 World Championships due to be held here from September 6-17.
