Sayeedi's legal notice to Shahriar Kabir resented

Leaders of Ekatturer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee expressed resentment and surprise at the legal notice of Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayeedi against renowned journalist and human rights activist Shahriar Kabir.The notice demanded apology from Nirmul Committee Acting President Shahriar Kabir for his book titled 'Bangladeshe Jongi Moulabad' (Militant Fundamentalism in Bangladesh). It also demanded the same from the publisher and cover-page artist of the book in three days. Nirmul Committee Advisory Board President Prof Kabir Chowdhury in a statement yesterday rejected the legal notice outright and said Jamaat leadership has sent the notice to Shahriar Kabir to conceal their war crimes and to deny their association with militant fundamentalism. "We believe that one day the trial of Sayeedi and his associates will take place here on the soil of Bangladesh for their war crimes," he added.
