Kazi Enamul Kabir Badal, district correspondent of the daily Shakti, died of a cardiac arrest at the National Institute of Cardio-vascular Diseases (NICVD) in Dhaka yesterday at the age of 68.

He left behind his wife, two sons and five daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

Badal began his career as a reporter of Kushtia-based daily Bangladesh Barta. He was also a popular footballer in the district.
