Alakesh Chy passes away

Alakesh Chowdhury, a former general manager (administration) of Bakhrabad Gas Systems Ltd (BGSL), passed away due to cardiac arrest at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Dhaka on Saturday evening at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife , one son and one daughter to mourn his death. Former Convener of the Titas Gas Swadhin Bangla Sangram Committee during the War of Liberation, late Chowdhury also worked in the now defunct the daily Banglar Mukh and weekly Bidhisha. He had also contributed to a good number of national dailies with his penname Alak Chowdhury. A condolence meeting was held with priest Suddhananda Mohathero in the chair. He was cremated at Rajarbagh crematory.
