Landless to get khas char lands

The government yesterday decided to distribute "khas char lands" among the landless people for raising social afforestation as part of its poverty-eradication programme.The 24th meeting of the executive committee of National Agro-based Khas Land took the decision, an official handout said. State Minister for Land Ukil Abdus Sattar presided over the meeting. Deputy Minister Advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, Moazzem Hossain Alal MP, secretary of the ministry Mohammad Abdul Alim Khan and high officials were present.
