'Listed terrorist' Nuru of Khulna held in Dhaka

Noor Shaikha alias Nuru, an armed cadre of outlawed party PBCP (M-L), was arrested by police Thursday evening from Badda in Dhaka city, police said here yesterday. He hails from Rupsha upazila of Khulna district. According to Khulna Police Superintendent, Nuru was wanted in seven murder cases recorded with Rupsha thana. He is also a chargesheeted accused in UP chairman Faruque and BNP leader Abu Hossain murder cases. Police said Nuru had been absconding for one year but maintained contact with his party. He took shelter in Badda in May. Rupsha thana Officer-in-Charge yesterday confirmed that Noor Sheikh is a 'listed terrorist' of Khulna district. He was not brought to Khulna from Dhaka when the report was filed yesterday afternoon.
