UK channel to air Bangla movies
Two much acclaimed films, Humayun Ahmed's Shyamal Chhaya and Morshedul Islam's Duratta, will be telecast on Channel 4 (UK) soon, says a press release. Made under the banner of Impress Telefilm, both the films are based on novels by popular writer-director Humayun Ahmed.

Shyamal Chhaya, directed and written by Humayun Ahmed, subtly delineates the ethos of our Liberation War. Riaz, Shaon, Tanya, Shimul and other noted actors portray different roles. Through their sorrows and happiness, the characters make the film credible.

Duratta, Morshedul Islam's film on children, depicts different classes in our society. Humayun Faridee, Shuborna Mustafa and talented child artistes act in the film.
