Film censor appeal board reconstituted

The government yesterday reconstituted the Bangladesh Film Censor Appeal Committee with Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister as its chairman.The members of the reconstituted appeal committee are: Information Secretary, Principal Information Officer, Bangla Academy Director General, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General, Bangladesh Film Censor Board Vice-Chairman, Daily Independent editor Mahbubul Alam, Daily Manobjamin editor Motiur Rahman Chowdhury, Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Ruhul Amin Gazi, Jatiya Press Club General Secretary Shaukat Mahmud and Information Ministry Deputy Secretary (films). The earlier notification of the Ministry of Information dated June 11, 2002 has been cancelled.
