The muggers arrived in front of Oli Khan Mosque in an auto-rickshaw and made an attempt to mug two rickshaw passengers at 10:30pm.

As the women in the rickshaw cried out for help, locals rushed to the scene and held the muggers, Kotwali police said.

The mob beat up the muggers until police rescued and sent them to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where they died after an hour.
