Faizee attends court amid boycott

Additional High Court Judge Faisal Mahmud Faizee, whose licence to practise law as an advocate was cancelled Sunday, continued his work yesterday amidst ongoing boycott of his court by the lawyers.Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) yesterday observed a half-an-hour sit-in in front of Supreme Court Annex Building from 10:00am as part of their continual protest at Faizee's performing judicial tasks. Addressing the programme, SCBA leaders reiterated their demand that the chief justice withdraw Faizee from the bench. The Bar leaders said that they would continue the boycott. Bangladesh Bar Council on Sunday cancelled Faizee's certificate of enrolment for providing false information during enrolment and his failure to disprove the allegation regarding his LLB examination results.
