Asma rejects chargesheet

Asma Kibria, wife of slain lawmaker SAMS Kibria, has rejected the chargesheet in the killing of the former finance minister.

She yesterday described the investigation into the gruesome killing of her husband as incomplete, and said a chargesheet based on an incomplete investigation is not acceptable.

"I didn't see the investigation report. The chargesheet on the basis of that investigation must be incomplete and partial," she said.

The nation wants to know the names of the people who had ordered to kill Kibria. But in no way the enquiry could reach that level, as the investigators were not allowed a free rein, she added.

Asma yesterday once again demanded an international probe to unravel the real story behind the slayings. She said that no investigation except one by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation will be acceptable.
