The Indian subsidiary of Japan's Honda Motor on Tuesday forecast its sales of passenger cars would grow 15 percent in the 2005-2006 fiscal year due to the country's strong economic growth. Honda forecast sales of 42,500 units for the year. "This will be more than the average of the Indian automobile industry's growth which will be about 13 percent," said Hajime Yamada, president and chief executive of Honda Siel Cars India, in which Honda owns a 99.9 percent stake.
