21 houses looted on a night

Dacoits looted valuables worth Tk 25 lakh from 21 houses in Baufal in Patuakhali district in the early hours of Thursday. At least 30 people including four women were injured in the attacks. Police and victims said, a gang of 30 to 35 armed dacoits in several groups cordoned Madhaya Madanpura village, snapped power supply lines and entered 21 houses by breaking doors. The beat the inmates and looted money and valuables including ornaments and electronic goods. Five of the injured have been admitted to the local hospital.
