Sudhin Das, Anwar Hossain, Abul Maksud win Wrishiz Award

Renowned singer Sudhin Das, actor Anwar Hossain and journalist and litterateur Syed Abul Maksud have been nominated for the Wrishiz Award 2004.Wrishiz Shilpi Gosthi has awarded them for their contribution to different arenas -- music, film and literature. The award will be given at a ceremony at Bangladesh Shishu Academy at 4:00pm today. Former Chief Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahman will be present as chief guest. Renowned artistes from Kolkata, Tripura and Bangladesh will take part in the cultural programme at the second half of the award ceremony to be dedicated to the memory of late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat.
