Liza lifts sub-jr chess title

Shamima Akter Liza became unbeaten champion in the 25th National Sub-Junior (Under-16 years) Chess Championship yesterday.Liza drew with Reza Mohammad Bakhtiar in the ninth and final round match at the federation hall room to improve her tally to 8.5 points. Reza finished runners-up with 7.5 points. In the other last round games, Saima drew with Saif, Rezaul beat Moni, Olid beat Sayed and Sharif beat Obaied.
