CDA demolishes 20 structures

Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) started demolishing unplanned and illegal structures hindering development and expansion of road and intersection at Anderkilla in the city yesterday.During the daylong eviction drive, CDA demolished over 20 structures including several high-rise and century-old buildings on both sides of the road from General Hospital to Anderkilla intersection. CDA sources said they will continue the drive to demolish over fifty buildings including ten century-old ones along the road stretching from Terry Bazar to Anderkilla.
