Another fake TSP factory detected in Magura

Another factory producing fake TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) fertiliser was detected at Kukna village in Magura municipality area in the early hours of Tuesday.Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Magistrate Raihan Kawsar raided the factory and seized 93 bags of Dolomite and 126 bags of rice used in producing fake TSP. They also arrested the owner of the factory, Shahinur. Shahinur, a man from Jhenidah, was involved in the unscrupulous business for long. The factory was set up at a rented house in the village, police said. Jader Ali, a farmer in the area said, local farmers were being deceived for over two years as they used then fake TSP produced in the factory. Talking to The Daily Star, Shahinur however claimed that he is a poultry-feed trader and the seized materials are used for making poultry-feed. Earlier, a fake TSP factory was unearthed on December 10 at Arpara bazaar in Shalikha upazila. Police sealed the factory and arrested four people.
