Police arrested 1,614 people on various charges from different parts of the country in the last 24 hours till 6.00am yesterday.During the period, the law enforcers recovered 23 firearms, 17 other weapons, 28 bullets and four cocktails and filed six cases against 10 people under Arms Act, says a police headquarters press release.
