Two killed in Rajshahi road accident

At least two persons were killed and 15 others were injured seriously in a road accident in front of Rajshahi Fire Service Office near DewanparaIntersection in Rajshahi city on Friday. A victim was identified as Atiqul, 30, while the other one could not be identified. Injured persons include Sagar, 40, Nasrin, 22, Silva, 33, Hasan, 42, Anwar, 28, Zahid, 32, and Motaleb, 35. They were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). According to police, the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering while trying to save a child from accident. Police and Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
