Palinkkara handed over the letter to the prime minister at her office, saying that the Sri Lankan president is "eagerly waiting" to attend the 13th Saarc Summit in Dhaka.

Khaleda and Chandrika's special envoy Palinkkara reaffirmed the two countries' commitment to build Saarc as suitable forum to meet the demand of 21st century.
