Black money behind all crimes
Dr Kamal tells Jubo Forum meet

Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday said black money is responsible for all criminal activities.

Speaking as chief guest at a meeting, he said criminal activities have become a 'severe disease' in the country.

The meeting was organised by city Jubo Forum, the youth wing of Gono Forum, at its office in the city.

Dr Kamal called upon people to unite against them who have created 'vindictiveness' and 'maliciousness' among the countrymen.

He said the 14 crore people are like 'a family', but a certain quarter has created division among them for heinous interests. They do not want betterment of the nation.

Kamal, also president of Jatiya Oikya Mancha, said foiling of the meetings of other parties was not a tradition of this country, and those who have made such evil deeds, will be rejected by the people.

He regretted that once the youths of the country were considered as conscience of the nation, but some quarters have now turned them into evil forces to achieve their heinous interests.

Dr Kamal said the government came to power with the pledge to eliminate crimes and not to patronise it, but the government has failed to fulfill its promise.

He urged the high-ups of the government to bring the youths back to right track.

The meeting was presided over by city Jubo Fourm President Ayub Khan Faruq.

The steering committee of Jatiya Oikya Mancha also held a meeting at the Gono Forum office.

Presided over by Dr Kamal, the meeting discussed the countrywide mass dialogue programme of Oikya Mancha and Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) and vowed to continue the programme.

The next mass dialogue programme will be held in Mymensingh Town Hall on October 25.
