Lalon goes international
Tanvir Mokammel's accredited film Lalon-- based on the life of Lalon Shah-- the legendary mystical singer of rural Bengal has been invited to the prestigious 48th London International Film Festival. The British Film Institute is the organiser. The two shows will be screened on October 30 at the Tricycle Cinema Hall of London and on November 2 at the auditorium of the National Film Theatre of the festival scheduled to be held from October 20 to November 4. Tanvir Mokammel, the scriptwriter and the director of the film and the producer Anjan Chowdhury have been invited to the festival where they will attend a question answer session on the film.

Mokammel's two others films Lal Shalu (A Tree without Roots) and Chitra Nodir Parey have been shown at the same festival before.
