Show cause on Maple Leaf authorities

The First Assistant Judge's Court, Dhaka yesterday issued show cause notice on the authorities of Maple Leaf International, an English medium school, as to why the enhanced annual enrollment fee and monthly tuition fee will not be declared illegal.The school authorities have been asked to reply within two days. The court also directed the Maple Leaf authorities to retain studentship of two students whose parents went to the court by taking the admission and monthly fees. First Assistant Judge Shahidul Islam gave the order in two separate suits after hearing. Guardians of the two students went to the court when the school authorities had enhanced annual fees and monthly tuition fees without any reason. The school authorities declined to take fees when a section of guardians protested the move.
