campaign for Bishwasahitya Kendro
Citibank N A yesterday made a second donation of Tk 1,05,200 to Bishwasahitya Kendro, says a press release. The Citibank in collaboration with The Prothom Alo began a campaign in March 2004 to raise fund for Bishwasahitya Kendro. The fund is raised by deducting Tk 10 against each of the international payments and fund transfers from its clients. Editor of The Prothom Alo Matiur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Mamun Rashid, Deputy Managing Director of IDLC Ehsan Quadir and Acting Managing Director of Prime Bank Nasiruddin Ahmed handed over a cheque for the amount to Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed, chairman of Bishwasahitya Kendro.
