Youth rescued from dormitory

The Kotwali police rescued one Ashrafuddin, 26, from room No 304 of Shahid Alamgir Hall of Barisal Government Hatem Ali College on Tuesday after he was beaten there.Police said he was admitted to a clinic in the city for treatment. Police detained Md Sharif, a boarder of that room for interrogation in this connection. Police and other sources said Ashraf stayed at a mess near the dormitory and represented a company named Destiny. Earlier, he was absconding for some days after allegedly cheating some local people, sources here claimed.
