Correction
In our July 11 report, headlined 'Sacked Judge stripped of bar licence,' it was mistakenly written that the Bangladesh Bar Council (BBC) stripped the bar licence of sacked judge Syed Shahidur Rahman.In fact, Shahidur applied for resumption of suspended advocateship after he was sacked and later he withdrew the application. The council needed not to make any decision in this regard. We regret the error.
