4 JCD activists sued in Khulna

Four Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists, including the district unit president, were accused in an FIR Saturday of vandalising a hotel and beating its proprietor.Md Anisuzzaman Lenin, proprietor of Hotel Shourav on upper Jessore Road, filed the FIR (first information report) with Khulna Police Station against Abu Hossain Babu alias Kala Babu, president of JCD Khulna unit, Bazlu Khan, Rashed and Uttam under section 4 and 5 of the Speedy Trial Act. Lenin in the FIR said the JCD men appeared in the hotel on Saturday at 2:30pm and went on the rampage, as he refused to pay them Tk 50,000 as toll. They also beat up him and threatened him with death. The vandals caused him a loss of over Tk 1 lakh, he alleged. The JCD men went into hiding.
