Autopsy Report
Three bullets pierce Ahsanullah's body

The autopsy report has confirmed that three bullets pierced the body of Awami League lawmaker Ahsanullah Master during a shooting at Tongi on May 7 causing his death.

Of them, two bullets penetrated his abdomen and the rest his left shoulder, said hospital sources quoting the report.

There were also bruise marks on his elbows, the report added.

Sources close to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team now probing the case said the gunmen used .32-bore or .22-bore revolver or pistol to open indiscriminate fire on Swechchhasebak League meeting at Noagaon M A Majid High School.

Assistant Superintendent of CID Khalequzzaman, Inspector Aminul Islam and Sub-Inspector Shankar Sen met Dr Shahidul Islam, who conducted the autopsy, at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday and discussed the report.

The indiscriminate shooting left Ahsanullah and schoolboy Omar Faruq Ratan killed and five others injured.

Police have so far arrested three accused, four suspects and a landlord in this connection.
