Rusho, an SSC examinee of Hamzerbag High School, was abducted on Tuesday evening from Bibirhat under Panchlaish Police Station and the abductors demanded Tk 10 lakh in ransom for his release. Rusho returned home unhurt without payment of any ransom amid what police say are mounted police raids and massive hunt for the kidnappers. Talking to The Daily Star at his Bibirhat house, Rusho said three young men picked him up on an autorickshaw as he came out of local Taiyebia Mosque on Hathazari Road at Bibirhat after saying his Maghrib prayers. They blindfolded him, changed vehicles and took him to a house on the day from where he was taken to three to four more places that involved long rides.
